Canasta Club


Canasta is a card game similar to rummy, using two packs. It is usually played by two pairs of partners, and the aim is to collect sets (or melds) of cards.

Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga is an on-going 6-week exercise program offering easy to do poses and breath sequences. No prior knowledge of yoga is necessary.

Creative Hands

Volunteers who make items using their knitting, crocheting or sewing skills for hospital patients, nursing home residents, and other special needs groups.

Bring your own needles. Yarn and donated materials are on site or you may bring your own.
There is no registration needed in order to participate.  Stop by when you are available or make it a regular part of your weekly schedule. 

Creativity Blooms (Crafts)

Focuses on “Sustainable Design”, recycling and re-claiming objects - transforming them, giving them new life! Projects span from wearable art to home décor. Although all projects will be completed, at times, the goal is experimental in nature, allowing play. A sample product will be presented at each session.

Friday Friends


Join your friends on Fridays, 11:00am - 2:00pm at Bauer Community Center located in Taylor Park.  Beverages (coffee or tea) are provided, but please bring a sandwich.

Millburn Guard


All retired men and women who are residents, former residents or residents of neighboring towns are invited to join weekly year-round meetings with stimulating programs, speakers, music and good fellowship. There are opportunities to join groups for golf, bridge, bowling and shuffleboard.

SAGE


SAGE is a private nonprofit gerontological organization located in Summit that provides quality services and solutions for older adults and their caretakers. These services allow the elderly to remain independent and to live in their own homes for as long as possible. SAGE offers many programs including:
  • Meals-on-Wheels
  • Spend-a-Day Adult Day Care Center
  • Home Health Aides
  • Caregiver support groups and companion service.

The Arthritis Foundation “TAI CHI” 

Tai Chi is a gentle 6-week exercise program suitable for most people. It has been shown to improve balance and reduce stress. No prior knowledge of Tai Chi is necessary.

Scrabble

A board game in which players use lettered tiles to create words in a crossword fashion. Enjoy a light-hearted game to clear the cobwebs of the mind. Scrabble players of all levels are welcome. Don’t know how to play? You will learn by the time the session is over.

Zumba Gold


A fun fitness program designed for older adults. It is based on Latin and international dance styles. The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba® choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. The moves are designed to be easy-to-follow for everyone.
