2019 Dog and Cat Census

Animal Control Officers will conduct a dog and cat census over the next couple of months. The purpose of this census is to ensure that all dogs and cats in the Township are licensed and have up-to-date rabies vaccinations. Animal Control Officers will be going door-to-door, and will have Township issued identification. New Jersey state law requires that all dog and cat owners have their pets licensed and properly vaccinated. An up-to-date license also allows dog and cat owners to participate in the Township’s annual free rabies clinic in the fall.

Dog license fees:

  • Neutered - $18
  • Not neutered - $21

For more information please contact the Health Office at 973-564-7087.
