COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD COMMITTEE (Resolution Adopted 5/21/91) Community Service Awards are usually presented on a quarterly basis. Recipients are individuals who have demonstrated an outgoing commitment to maintenance of the quality of life in Millburn Township through their efforts and creativity. Also, they are individuals who have maintained a low profile and deserve recognition for their volunteer contributions. Members of the Community Service Award Committee are responsible for researching, selecting, and nominating to the full committee potential candidates to receive the Community Service Award. Members are responsible for providing background information and preparing introductory comments relating to the recipients. Since 1991, the Committee has chosen 28 recipients for the Community Service Award. Meetings are held quarterly as well as the presentation ceremonies.
