Information regarding privatization of sanitation in Millburn Township.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Trash will not be picked up only on major holidays, which includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. All other holidays will receive trash and/or recycling collection. On December 6, 2011 the Millburn Township Committee voted to privatize the Sanitation operations of the Township beginning January 1, 2012. This page will be dedicated to updating residents on matters of trash/recycling pick-up. Any information related to sanitation will be posted here. The garbage/recycling contract was awarded to Girodano Company, Inc. The Type 13 (bulky waste pick-up from the DPW yard) was awarded to Suburban Disposal.
