The Millburn Health Department provides public health activities as described in the “Public Health Practice Standards For Local Boards Of Health In New Jersey.” Services provided by the Millburn Health Department include community public health, enforcement of environmental health, public health nursing, health education and provisions for maintaining vital statistics records of births, deaths and marriages that occur within the township. Nursing and Health Education: The Nursing Department focuses on providing excellent health services for our residents. Our mission is to promote a healthy lifestyle and increase awareness of good health habits. To accomplish this goal, we offer varied health screenings, health education programs, health fairs, illness prevention services and immunization programs for our residents. We maintain a close collaborative partnership with physicians, community organizations and agencies, and our residents to continue to promote our outstanding health services. "File of Life" Card The File of Life is a card that you fill out with you medical history, allergies and current medications. You then put this information in a magnetic holder and place it on your refrigerator. In case of an emergency, your pertinent information is readily available to you or emergency personnel. These cards and magnetic holder are available free of charge at the Township of Millburn Health Department during normal business hours. It may make a difference in a life threatening situation.
