The Millburn Township Police Department mission is to serve and protect
the residents and visitors of the Township of Millburn. 


  • The Millburn Police Department vigorously patrols the municipality and enforces the laws of the State of New Jersey and the ordinances of the County of Essex and Township of Millburn.

  • The Millburn Police Department investigates and prepares for prosecution of the crimes that take place in the Township of Millburn with the utmost professionalism.

  • The Millburn Police Department is always sensitive to the needs of victims of crimes, accidents, and medical emergencies.  The Police Department is also aware and sensitive to all persons’ needs.  The actions of the Millburn Police Department are preformed with passion and without prejudice to one’s ethnicity, race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, handicap, or religious beliefs.

  • First and foremost, the members of M.P.D. are service orientated and continue to provide police service in the highest tradition of excellence

The Millburn Police Department is made up of 54 sworn police officers and over 40 non-sworn personnel (staff, parking violations, support personnel, and crossing guards) who provide around-the-clock protection to this municipality.

The Millburn Police Department responds to over 20,000 calls annually for assistance and is ever vigilant and committed to quality of life issues in Millburn Township.
