Real Estate Taxes

Real estate taxes are due quarterly on or before the first day of February, May, August, and November.  Tax bills are mailed annually in June of each year and include four-quarterly tax installments.  Please note the February and May quarterly installments reflect one half of the prior year tax billing.  The August and November quarterly installments are finalized to conform with the tax rate each year.

The Township provides a seven-day grace period on quarterly tax payments.  Interest is charged on all overdue taxes.  To avoid interest charges, all payments must be received on or before the 7th of the month that taxes are due.

Sewer Charges

In addition to your real estate bill, a spearate Annual Sewer User Charge bill is payable in April.

Parking Permits

In order to park in the permit areas in the various municipal lots, off-street parking permits are required for residents and businesses located in Millburn Township.  All applications should be sent to the Tax Collector's office located in Town Hall.  In addition to the application and payment, please note the following requirements:

Resident Permits - The vehicle registration issued to a Township address must accompany each application.  If the vehicle is leased, the vehicle registration and the insurance card, issued to a Township address, must be presented.

Business Permits - Applications must be completed by each employee and must include a business certification signed by the owner or manager of the Township business.
