Beginning in July, the Senior Bus will run on a regular schedule of four days per week: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Due to social distancing, there will be no more than 3 passengers riding the bus at the same time. You must wear a face mask when you are on the bus. While the driver may have extra masks, there is no guarantee. Please plan accordingly.
If you need the bus service, please call 973-564-7076 between 7:00 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. Monday - Friday. If you are calling during these hours and there is no answer, please hang up and try again. The driver could be on the other line.
The Senior Bus provides free service 5 days a week:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 8:30 am to 3:00 pm
- Thursday 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
Residents 62 and over may call for transportation within the township boundaries to medical appointments, grocery shopping, library, meetings and activities. Passengers must be able to board and leave the bus without assistance. The bus does have lift capability. An aide is permitted to ride with a disabled individual to assist with entering and exiting the vehicle. The bus is available for activities conducted throughout town unless it is oversubscribed or the safety of the passengers is in question. Note: Same day calls will not be accepted. To avoid delays, passengers are not permitted to change or add to their itinerary once on the bus.
Please call 973-564-7076 between 7:00 am and 8:15 am at least one day before needing a ride.
There is no provision for leaving a message at this number.
