10/8 Update: Essex County to Pave Upper Millburn Avenue

Update 10/8

Reminder: Essex County begins its Upper Millburn Avenue paving project tomorrow, October 9th, at 6:30 p.m. Expect road closures on Upper Millburn Ave. from Douglas Street to Morris Turnpike until 7:00 a.m. Thursday.

Due to inclement weather, the Upper Millburn Avenue repaving project has been rescheduled to begin on Wednesday, October 9.

Due to expected inclement weather, the Upper Millburn Avenue repaving project has been rescheduled to begin on Monday, October 7.

Project Information

Starting on or about Thursday, October 3 Upper Millburn Avenue from Douglas Street to Morris Turnpike will be milled and paved by Essex County.

To minimize impact on Millburn High School, the project is planned for overnight between the hours of 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and is expected to run throughout the month of October.

A full overnight road closure is expected during the project. Detour signs and new traffic patterns will be posted.
