2020 Overnight Parking and 24 Hour Parking Permits Information

The Millburn Township Committee passed Ordinance No. 2549-19 this week that establishes eligibility and increases fees for 24 hour parking permits. The Ordinance also creates a new permit for eligible residents to park overnight in designated Township owned parking lots and increases existing permit transfer fees to $5.00.

24 Hour Parking Permits

24 Hour Parking permits are open to tenants in the B-4 commercial district and residents in the B-3 commercial district on Millburn Avenue between Short Hills Avenue and Morris Turnpike. These permits are limited to 2 per apartment unit. A copy of the current rental lease must be provided at the time of application.

Annual permit fee:

  • First car in a household $620.00
  • Additional car in household $680.00

Semiannual permit fee:

  • First car in a household $455.00
  • Additional car in household $505.00

Overnight Parking Permit

Overnight parking permits will be issued only to tenants that reside in the B-4 commercial district or residents in the B-3 commercial district on Millburn Avenue between Short Hills Avenue and Morris Turnpike. Use of the permit will be permitted in designated shopper parking spaces in Lot 2 and Lot 14 Monday-Saturday 6:00pm to 8:00am, Sunday all day. A copy of the current rental lease must be provided at the time of application.

  • Annual permit fee $225.00
