  1. Remembrance Through Music: Commemorating the Kristallnacht

    November 17, 2019, 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM @ Millburn Free Public Library

    In remembrance of the Kristallnacht, the Museum of Human Rights, Freedom, and Tolerance and the Blue Mountain Chamber Music Players present Remembrance Through Music: Commemorating The Kristallnacht. The event is open to the public and free to attend. The Blue Mountain Chamber Music Players will present the NJ Premiere of Two Songs by Harold Levin, written to the anonymous poems from Germany that survived the Holocaust. Also included in the program is Yizkor by Oedoen Partos, a famous Hungarian-Israeli composer and violist, who was saved from the Nazis by one of the greatest musicians of the twentieth century, Bronislaw Guberman. The program will include an introduction by Professor Stephen Bronner (Rutgers University).
